THE PLAYGROUND OF THE FUTURE

What Does Not is a London-based culture agency specialising in community building, placemaking, experiential events, workplace culture strategy, and human-centred brand activations.

Operating globally, we sit at the intersection of culture strategy, systems change, and human behaviour, shaping how people gather to change how people become. For us, human connection truly is the underdog of lasting social and business transformation.

WDN IS A

CULTURE

AGENCY

We only solve one problem: human disconnection – at every level. Culture is infrastructure and humans are culture. So instead of optimising systems, we humanise them.

WHAT WE DO

WE DESIGN CULTURES PEOPLE WANT TO BELONG TO

We work with brands, hospitality groups, public bodies, developers, workplaces, and creative organisations. Together, we help deepen loyalty, increase participation, and create real-world connection in an increasingly digital world.

MEET THE TEAM

MEET THE TEAM

We’re Tam, Christine, and Mary. Three close friends and heavyweights from the worlds of workplace culture, entertainment, hospitality, business, digital transformation – as well as the creative industries. We’ve worn many hats, and worn all of them rather well.

THINGS PEOPLE SAY

  • Human-centred business scaling

“Christine (WDN founder) is a force of nature. She guided us from boutique PR agency to media agency. She has an amazing understanding of humans and ability to train people with transferrable skills. Using her philosophy of 'f*ck the CV', she built a team that created an entirely new division, with its own revenue stream. We wouldn’t be where we are today without her tenacity, insight and knowledge of humans.”

Dominic Hiatt, Founder at Rhizome Media Agency and Newspage

  • Employee engagement

“Tam (WDN co-founder) can make things happen where others can’t. She’s able to influence at the highest levels in business and was able to bring ideas to life though her ingenuity, creativity and vision. She’s a people person and can communicate brilliantly with whoever she’s in front of. She brings people on board with her ideas and has a great eye for what works, and what doesn’t, in event planning, employee engagement and comms. A great partner for anyone working with her in the future.”

Katie Leveson, HR Director, Universal Pictures

  • Curating culture & connecting members

“Brilliant team of women shaping the music, entertainment and culture industry. They are a dream to work with and always surprise me with what they are able to pull together. Couldn’t recommend them more as suppliers and more so, as people.”

Anna Bailey, Experience Manager at The Ministry

  • Community building & space activation

“Working with WDN has been incredible. They actively build community and bring people together, utilising our spaces in inspiring and creative ways. We are grateful to be part of such forward-thinking events that enrich our community and promote human connection. Truly inspiring.”

Chiara Cavallaro, Sales & Events Strategy, Little Door & Co

  • Designing brand resonance

“They don’t just create brands. They create momentum – with a rare ability to combine strategic thinking with genuine personality. They’re fearless, refreshingly original and not afraid to challenge conventional thinking. Exactly the kind of maverick energy ambitious brands need.”

Guy Thornton, Founder at Picked (HR services)

  • Speaking 'human'

“Working with you has been a wonderful, collaborative experience. It's also been a great lesson in the power of words and having a 'thinking partner' to write them. Thank you.”

Deborah Pentesco-Gilbert, Editorial Director, Wiley Publishing

WHY NOW

HUMAN CONNECTION MATTERS NOW MORE THAN EVER

We didn’t jump on the human connection bandwagon. It’s the culture we grew up in, and the non-transactional way we live our lives: speaking to strangers, practising altruism, helping people feel they belong.

For years, we’ve applied these lessons to business settings too. Designing the systems, experiences and environments that improve retention, performance, revenue and resilience. With AI increasing burnout rates by 45% and driving employee disengagement by 79%, cementing a culture where humans matter is more important than ever.

HOW IT WORKS

START ANYWHERE

Humans are everywhere. As audiences, as colleagues , as employees. The best way to grab the bull by the horns is to get a Culture MOT. This will show you where you can begin both as a standalone service and a starting point for deeper change.
